What makes the Horizon changing table unique? Its sturdy, functional wall-mounted design is ideal for heavy-duty changing and dressing needs. Because it folds to the wall, it is a particularly good choice where space is limited. The height adjustable model provides ergonomic comfort and practicality to both user and caregiver. How does the Horizon meet ADA compliance?Anyone using a wheelchair can easily access this table to accommodate their changing and/or dressing needs. How compact is the table when folded against the wall?It needs a mere 12” clearance once folded. What is the mattress made of?Firm, comfortable 2” foam covered with heavy-duty blue vinyl without seams. The vinyl resists scratches, abrasion, and stains and is compatible with most cleaners and disinfectants (check our user manual). The mattress is permanently attached until replaced and should last 5-7 years with normal use. Is the Horizon safety rail factory-installed?Yes. The safety rail is built-in and easy to raise and lower. It is included in the price of the product. Can this changing table be used in a shower? No, but all components are compatible with cleaning solutions. See the Pressalit Care, Lambda, and Linido products for shower compatibility. What are the electrical components in the height adjustable model?A quiet motor and worm drive actuator, a control box and transformer (120v/24v/1amp) with power cord, and 3-prong plug and a hand control for up/down. All components are liquid tight and UL approved. Any installation tips?Be sure to measure carefully before drilling any holes. For height adjustable models, make sure that the power plug/outlet will not interfere with the changing bed as it moves up and down. |
