What kind of staircases does it work on?

The Scalamobil Fly is designed to work on airstairs, as well as interior and outdoor stairways, straight, spiral, or narrow, made from materials including carpet, wood, stone or metal.

    Could it damage my airstairs?

No. The unique climbing mechanism and abrasion-resistant tires fully protect the steps.

How long does a single battery charge last?

The fully charged battery can climb as many as 300 steps when carrying a person weighing approx. 155 lbs. Under normal usage, the battery should last 3-4 years.

How much strength does the attendant need to operate the Scalamobil Transit Chair?

At the push of a button, the electric motor takes care of all the climbing work. Guiding the Scalamobil Transit Chair requires some coordination but very little strength.

What is the Scalamobil’s safety record?

Scalamobil has been a market leader for 25 years, with satisfied customers the world over. At MAX-Ability, we will work with you closely, including on-site training as needed, to insure that your staff can operate the Scalamobil Fly safely.
